Working both in-house and on contract, my work at Nike spans accessories including socks, bags, and headwear, covering both graphic design and chassis design, as well as apparel graphic design. With a focus on what product can do graphically through application and construction within the constraints of each brief and budget.

SOCKS

Nike sock work covers both graphic design and product design across multiple categories and seasonal collections, with a focus on incorporating graphics into the construction of the sock itself rather than treating them as surface application. Every project was developed with full technical specs including detailed BMPs, drop needle constructions, material and yarn placement, and trim development. Work includes signature athlete collections, company wide programs such as BeTrue and Olympics, and event collaborations.

BETRUE

I designed the BeTrue sock to feature a knit-in welt graphic for a flip down option, ankle embroidery, stripes in monofilament for a glittery effect when the light hits it, and a nep yarn in LGBTQIA+ colors.

BASKETBALL HOLIDAY PACK

Briefed as a basketball sock with minimal graphics and an added feature of my choice, I introduced a secondary mid-leg welt mimicking a sweat band, featuring a jersey number graphic that can be flipped down or worn plain. The design explores a basketball jersey theme through 2x2 pique knit to create a visual jersey mesh with side striping, referencing the construction of an actual jersey.

GODZILLA KNEE HIGH

The Godzilla Japan sock leans into the reptilian nature of Godzilla himself, using a scale graphic as the foundation and a color shifting knit construction to add to the creature's iridescent quality. The illusion is created through drop needle construction with specific color selection across the body, plaiting, and laid-in elastic, shifting throughout the leg depending on the wearer's anatomy.

WADAPALOOZA EVENT

Designed for Wodapalooza, the world's largest functional fitness festival held annually in Miami, the brief called for a tropical execution that felt flexible with neutral workout outfits without being overly literal. I designed the sock to support a tie dye technique while incorporating a knit-in graphic simultaneously, using specific construction techniques to achieve both effects cleanly within the same product.

CHINESE NEW YEAR

A limited edition Chinese New Year basketball sock built on the basketball performance knee high chassis. I incorporated a dragon scale welt, and a basketball graphic floral, utilizing mesh, drop needle, and pique constructions to achieve the cleanest possible graphic execution with the least amount of inner yarn cuts, keeping the internal wear comfortable for the consumer.

SIGNATURE ATHLETES

Fourteen months and 6 seasons of signature athlete work spanning LeBron, Jordan, Kyrie, and Giannis. Shown here are four examples: Kyrie featuring a drop needle graphic with zero inner yarn cuts, Jordan with a detailed BMP for a flawless neon style Jumpman execution, LeBron playing off his seasonal material label, and Giannis using a mesh tonal repeat for a clean understated finish.

AIRMAX CREW

A clean nod to the iconic Air Max, I recreated the Air Max shoe trim as a sock right silicone application, engineered at a 3mm max height for an ultra flexible wear. The color blocking mirrors the iconic Air Max aesthetic, tying the sock directly to the footwear it references.

BAGS

Bags range from small hip bags to utility gym bags, with graphics, trims, and details always at the forefront of the approach. Work spans trim exploration, repeat prints, placed graphics, and material exploration, consistently pushing designs within the brand while bringing a visionary perspective to what most would consider traditional silhouettes. Whether through cut placed screenprints, oversized Nike logos, or an easter egg Spongebob, every design is distinct while maintaining attention to execution and product quality. Many of the trims and material graphics were mocked up to sample quality, as seen in the holiday collection.

TOKYO OLYMPIC TRAVEL BAG

Designed for the Tokyo Olympics, the collection was inspired by Shinkansen bullet train travel and the culture of movement it represents. The bag was built for multi-wear versatility on the go, including a passport sleeve, belt clip, and modular graphics that shift depending on how bags are linked together. The graphic references the yellow hazard lines on Shinkansen platforms, using line placement and movement to carry the theme through to the product, including a webbing strap emboss.

HOLIDAY BAG COLLECTION

The holiday bag collection draws inspiration from the puff jackets of the season, designed as a double sided bag with satin and velvet options. Graphics were kept intentionally clean through a sewn down patch, silicone screenprint, and graphics through the quilted stitchdown lines I mocked up in Nike's maker studio the BRS

OFF THE GRID COLLECTION

The Off the Grid collection was designed for the city hiker with an exploratory spirit. I used material overlays to create graphic illusions, with logo placements centered around material exploration and visual texture play. Graphic texture continues through silicone Nike branded sewn on labels and woven labels.

THE NIKE TRAINING COLLECTION

I designed the trim package for the Nike Training collection, developed for endurance and all terrain use. The silicone trim is an injection mold I engineered specifically for the demands of training bags, paired with a custom woven label to identify each chassis, both designed to hold up to the wear of high performance use.

SPONGEBOB x KYRIE

The Spongebob x Kyrie x Nike collab was a graphic opportunity to take a fresh approach on a familiar execution. Rather than leading with the characters' faces as the obvious focal point, I focused on what made each character distinct through their details, Spongebob's socks, Patrick's shorts, turning recognition into a discovery moment for kids rather than an immediate reveal.

REPEAT AND PLACED PRINTS

Prints were developed to be bag right for each collection, either designed from scratch or adapted from existing category graphics. Every print was made with careful attention to line weight and texture to work across the variety of bag weights and printing techniques including digital prints and screen printed engraved rollers. Placed graphics were incorporated on select bags to push the execution beyond the standard approach.

APPAREL

For five years I worked exclusively in Nike's Licensed department across NCAA, MLB, and nationwide sporting events, including quick turn sport highlight moments. This period was foundational to my production art and graphic design expertise. Product spanned headwear and apparel, with graphic design stretch assignments covering full seasonal NCAA collections during periods of short staffing in the larger design team. Below is a sampling of some of the work I either was the production artist or designer for.
